Welcome to the the
Texas Publishers Association (TPA). The
association is The Black Press of Texas, established in
1986. The association consists of African American owned
and operated newspapers serving virtually every region
of Texas with a potential reach of 2.9 million African
Americans.
Our members common goals are to provide information to the
communities and culture we serve. Health and safety,
business opportunities, entertainment, sports,
social resources provide by governmental agencies,
local, state and federal levels, along with recording
our present and past history are examples of our day to
day operations.
Education and
development of our members, sharing new ideas and a rich
history unite us in an effort to better serve our
communities and enrich our own lives.
Promoting
businesses and services through the power of
communication is the foundation upon which each of our
members uses to develop and enhance their contributions.
